Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)

Please be aware starting 15 March 2016, visa-exempt foreign nationals who fly to or transit through Canada will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Exceptions include U.S. citizens and travellers with a valid visa.
Entry requirements for other methods of travel (land, sea) have not changed. To find out if you require an eTA please click here

Visa

Once you have a registered your attendance for the congress and payment has been made you will have the option to select a Visa letter during the process. 

Air Travel to Vancouver

airplane (1)If you're arriving by air, you'll most likely be flying into Vancouver International Airport (YVR). Located just 25 minutes from downtown, YVR is consistently rated one of the best airports in North America.

Transport from Vancouver Airport

There are several options to go between YVR and downtown Vancouver, including scheduled coach transfers, limousine, taxi, car rentals and transit.

Train

train (1)The Canada Line is Vancouver’s rapid transit rail link connecting YVR to downtown Vancouver in 26 minutes and to downtown Richmond in 18 minutes. It’s a fast and easy way to get to the city centres. You can conveniently access trains from both the International and Domestic Terminals.
Canada Line’s YVR-Airport station is centrally located between the International and Domestic Terminals.

Courtesy Shuttles

bus (1)Hotel courtesy shuttle buses provide transportation service to many of our local hotels. To request a hotel shuttle bus, use the direct dial phones to the hotels located on Arrivals Level 2 of both the International and Domestic Terminals. You can also access a direct dial phone at the shuttle bus pick up area at International and Domestic Terminals.

Courtesy shuttle pick-up & drop-off areas are located at the green canopy outside of Arrivals Level 2 International Terminal Building and outside the Arrivals Level 1 Domestic Terminal Building.

Taxi

car (1)Taxis, including wheelchair accessible vehicles, are available at taxi stands located on Level 2 of the Domestic and International Arrivals Area. The taxi fare from the airport to downtown Vancouver is approximately $35.
